The daughter of Shabtai and Zlata Kowner. The first of two twins with her sister Merka. Grew up in Lodz she became a master of pharmaceutics. In 1920's married Shmuel Zvi Oppeneim in Lodz and then immigrated to Palestine and settled in Rishon Le Zion where her husband was a treasurer of Carmel Mizrachi wine cellars.
